A brief note 

GEORGE HAYNES was born in Kisumu, Kenya, in 1938. He went to school in Bath, England, and went on to the Chelsea School of Art, graduating in 1962. He came to Perth with his parents the same year, joined the local art scene, and had his first show that October. He has been exhibiting, nationally and internationally, ever since. George is a renowned colourist, dabbles in abstraction, but seems to be, mainly, preoccupied by the world around him. He is an alchemist, transmuting reality. He taught for many years and has a legion of followers.
