A brief note

SANDRA LEVESON was born in Melbourne in 1944. She studied at the Caulfield Institute of Technology and then further at the National Gallery School. Sandra began her exhibiting career in 1962 when only eighteen years old, while also teaching printmaking. From 1970 to 1982 she became a Fine Art lecturer, as well as Head of Printmaking, at the Prahan College of Advanced Education. Sandra moved to Sydney in 1982, where she works today.

In 2006, Susan McCulloch wrote that Sandra creates cool abstracts that are often pastel blues and pinks divided by a horizon-like line. Of an evening, one or the other of my four daughters, viewing a sunset, would often say, that is a Sandra sky!
