A brief note 

SIEGLINDE BATTLEY was born in East Prussia, Germany, in 1942. From 1960 to 1963 she studied Graphic Design at Kunstschule Carlo Ruppert in Frankfurt, Germany, and, upon graduation, worked as a Graphic Designer in Germany and Norway. In1972, she moved to, and worked in, Jakarta, Indonesia, and from 1976 to 1978 she worked in Teheran, Iran.

In 1978 Sieglinde emigrated to Perth, Australia.

Sieglinde enrolled at the Claremont School of Art and received a Diploma in Fine Art, and followed this up with a Batchelor of Arts Degree at Curtin University in 1982. Upon qualifying she had her first solo exhibition with us in 1982. Since then, she has gone on to have many shows all around Australia, as well as overseas, and is represented in most of Australia’s major collections. She has won many art awards.

In 1990xxx she moved to Forster in New South Wales, with fellow artist, Robert Birch.

I believe Sieglinde presently lives in Smiths Lake in NSW, presumably with Bob, whom I believe she married.
