A brief note 

SIMONE PRICE was born in Perth in 1968. She received a Diploma in Fine Arts from the Claremont School of Art in 1988.

Simone began exhibiting with us shortly after graduating.

She was very interested in painting on a small scale, and in a traditional manner, drawing on allegory and myth. Simone herself described her work as ambiguous, semi-surreal, but poetic.

David Bromfield wrote that "she is a lyric pot singing songs a new way for a new land".
