BIOGRAPHY
This is a very old photo but it is a bit more flattering than most!. Now and then I am asked for some information about our old gallery which I started as Gallery 52 in Claremont in the late 70's. Wendy Rogers mostly ran things for seven or eight years until she decided on a move to Melbourne, after we had relocated the gallery to Beaufort Street. Jac O'Sullivan was a lively presence until she decided to become a lawyer, then we had great help from Jenny Knox, a young architect, who later had great success working at the Guggenheim Museum in New York, and Andy Knox was with us for a time. Wendy Guilfoyle and Nicky Greenwood were longtime wine ladies at our openings. Most of all, my daughter Rosemary (Ro-ro) directed our activities, quite brilliantly, for about ten years, until she decided to move to Sydney. When we eventually closed the gallery, David Bromfield commented on Rosie's enthusiastic and generous contribution to the arts. So true!
Being a bit of an art tragic and owning quite a few of the paintings, which were exhibited from, say 1970, to around 2000, I decided to create this site to give these works a viewing. I invite you to have a look around> Most of them are for sale, so you may find something interesting. Feel free to contact me if you would like further information.
